Gas Tank Needed
I am looking for a red gas tank for an '06. Anybody got a spare laying around? Thanks, y'all.

Re: Gas Tank Needed
FYI the color is "Candy Fire Red". If you already haven't looked for a tank, be prepared for sticker shock. Good luck finding a used one that isn't trashed. I'm getting my tank repaired/repainted instead of forking over almost $700 for a new tank.
Re: Gas Tank Needed
I just saw this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-Kawasaki-Vulcan-EN500-500-LTD-FUEL-GAS-PETRO-TANK-/190697219159?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6670a457&vxp=mtr It's not perfect but it's cheap enough for now. $40.00 with no bids!

Wow ... Thanks. Do you know if this will work for the standard 500?

not sure what you're asking. That is a tank for a Vulcan 500 LTD aka EN500C which any Vulcan 500 model years 97-09 and some '96 models as both EN500A and EN500C models were sold that year. If you have an '06 that tank will fit. That's some nasty roadrash on the side of that tank! Are you sure you want to buy a tank with the side bashed in?
Re: Gas Tank Needed
Admittedly that tank is rough but it's dirt cheap. There are several repair options though. The local community college body shop. The local High School shop class. Either may be happy to take this on as a class project with little if any cost to you. If you're in a hurry for it then there are places like this: http://www.advanceddentremoval.com/ Back when I was working in auto dealerships they were using outfits like this on used cars. I was amazed at some of the dents and dings they were able to remove without the need for paint. Obviously the ebay tank needs paint but after spending the needed bucks for all repairs it would still come out waaaayyyyy under the cost for a new one. Of course that's IF it stays at the low initial ebay sale price.
