tank badge or no tank badge???

Postby Triangles » Fri Sep 14, 2012 7:12 am

I got my gas tank repainted. Originally I was going to put the tank badges back on... now I think I like it without tank badges... any thoughts?

A previous owner removed the tank badging on my LTD long before I got it. I kinda like it.

Yep I think I do too. I'll leave them off until at least next spring. I'm not so happy with my paint job though. My Candy Fire Red is now more "tomato" red. I'll post some picts when I get a chance this weekend. I gave the shop the new front fender to colormatch the tank to. Either the color was wrong from Kawasaki or the shop realized the color didn't match and also painted the fender thinking I wouldn't notice the color change. I didn't observe the fender color because I was still in the OEM bubble wrap when I dropped it off at the shop. The shop is supposedly fairly reputable so I'm leaning toward the fender color being off from Kawasaki. Either way I guess I'm stuck with the color unless I want to drop another $350 on paint work.

Tomato red doesn't sound so bad. If you are smart, add some mozzarella details and your bike will look yummy.
