Im going to replace my old chain soon but don't really know what chains are good.
Should I stick with an o-ring chain or get a different design?
Also, which brands are reliable and trustworthy?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: Recommendations for new chain
It's best to replace your sprockets when you replace your chain. Chain brand doesn't matter much. Get an O-ring or X-ring chain (X-rings are the same as an O-ring except the O-ring cross section is in the shape of an X). If you believe the marketing hype it's supposed to provide a better seal, last longer, etc etc.... What you need is a 520 chain with 110 links. Avoid aluminum sprockets. They may be good for racing but wear out in no time. I recommend you go the the added expense of buying a chain rivet tool and use a riveted master link. They are stronger and safer than the clip on master links. This thread may be helpful for you.

Thanks for the insight.
I probably will get that chain rivet tool, Im a bit weary on using a clip for the master link.
