Hi everyone! I am rebuilding the front end of my 2009 Vulcan 500ltd and have a question about forks.
My bike uses a 41mm fork with a 15mm axle can I use a comparable fork off another kawi or will the spacing be different. I am asking because I came across a set of vulcan1500a forks that are also 41mm will this work or will the axle spacing be different or do the forks interchange? Thanks for the info guys?

Re: Front fork question
Look them up on the parts interchange. See how-to section. I would imagine they won't work because the front brake caliper mounts to the fork. That and the fork spacing might be different. You could probably rebuild your forks with the tubes from the 1500A but I wouldn't bother rebuilding forks with used parts.....

Re: Front fork question
I mounted the forks and they fit great it's about an 1 1/4" shorter and gives a mean riding position the caliper mounted in the same location on the new forks so no end play issues either I used the caliper and master cylinder off my 500 and the mounting bolts from the 1500A because they are inset bolts instead of flush mount but have had no compromise in braking!
