clutch lever replacement

Postby Jim Hermann » Sun Jun 30, 2013 10:05 am

What is the proper procedure to replace a clutch lever? YouTube shows the clutch switch on some bikes can be damaged if not removed before the lever is removed. Is the Vulcan 500 switch activator not embedded in the lever? I took the lever pivot bolt out but the lever does not seem to come out very easy. I decided to get instructions instead of forcing it out.

if you look at the underside of your lever assembly you will see the switch. I don't think there's anything complicated about it. But then again I've never had a reason to disassemble it.
