Gas mileage!

Everything in-between the gas cap and the carbs. Also how the engine inhales.

It is difficult to flood this engine. Worse I've had was a nice "shotgun blast" from the pipes when she finally started. I was cranking without enough voltage to fire the plugs. It made a nice boom when I corrected the issue.

On a more serious note fuel vapors are nothing to be casual about. There is a significant amount of valve overlap (duration) on these engines. It is not unusual to get a backfire out the carb. For your sake I hope there isn't enough oxygen present to propagate the flame up the tube/contraption you use to route fuel vapors to your carb.

I believe some of the overseas models of this engine used a coolant heated carb. I have toyed with the idea of doing this but I think fuel injection would be more interesting.
