Just thinking....was browsing around on ebay last night. Has anyone considered 883 sporty mufflers? They're cheap and would be the closest harley to our engine size. You can buy chrome takeoffs for 30 bucks.

Another interesting possibility. Anyone know what diameter inlet they have and how they attach to a stock harley?

We used a reducer kit from JC Whitney to attach Dyna glide mufflers. It worked great.

I just replaced my stock mufflers with a set of Dunstall style Megaphones. It really sounds great. A friend of mine asked if it is going to be an issue with state inspection. I live in Missouri. Does anyone know if the louder mufflers will be a fail on inspection?

I realize this is thread is over 3 years old. But hopefully DaisyField is still on here. I'm installing Dynas to my 2002 Vulcan 500. Bought them from someone who had it installed on his Vulcan 500. Included the reducer ring as well. However, when I tried to slip them to the header pipe, it refuses to go all the way in. I can get it in about an inch (if at that), but won't budge. Tried some grease, tried hammering it in, and plain old elbow grease, but no luck. Not sure why it won't slide in all the way, especially if it fit on the guy's bike I bought it from. I've attached a pic of the rings I removed from the Dynas. It's 1/8" thick. Perhaps I need to get it down to 1/16". Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The other question I have for DaisyField is, how long is that extended bracket you used to mount your Dynas to the frames mounting holes?

Much appreciated.
