Slip on

Postby Autumn » Thu May 31, 2012 2:23 pm

I'm completely new to motorcycles and this is my first bike. I'm looking to get a new slip on muffler that will just flat out bolt on to the current exhaust header. Does anyone know the diameter of the exhaust header on this bike? Anyone know of a specific slip on that will make my bike louder? I'm not looking for Harley loud, I know I can't get that, but I want to be heard when I'm out there riding by myself!

There are no aftermarket mufflers that will simply bolt on the vulcan 500. this may answer a lot of your questions. If you want something a little louder the OEM Harley Dyna mufflers are popular and cheap. With the Kawasaki Clean Air system (injects air into the exhaust to burn unburned gas that gets thru the engine and into the pipes) you will hear popping on deceleration that is currently muffled by your OEM mufflers.
