NIITWIt Rally

Postby bikerbill » Sun Aug 16, 2015 9:56 am

The next rally that I am going to attempt, with my son Daniel as pillion, will be the N.I.I.T.W.It Rally. http://www.niitwit.com A NIITWIt is someone that is 'Not In It To Win It'.

Starting on October 3, 2015, this 12-hour rally will have a unique scoring system. Instead of everybody trying to collect points its 'upside-down' scoring will have everybody starting with the same points with the objective to 'lose' as many points as possible. So in essence the 'overall winner' will actually be the 'overall loser'!

The Rallymaster is Paul Tong, a finisher in this year's IronButt Rally. His Ridemaster Troy Martin, a participant in the same IronButt Rally.

This is a 'Start Anywhere' rally with the finish at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge near Mena, AR.

If you've ever considered Rallying this could be your chance to 'dip your toe in the water' and run with some Big Dogs.

See You There?

The NIITWIt Rally starts this Saturday at 6:00am. We received our Rally Pack a few days ago and are just amazed and stunned at the diversity and wonder of the places to potentially visit:

Thorncrown Chapel - check
Hot Springs Mountain observation tower - check
Abbey Road - check
Franklin's BBQ - check
Palo Duro Canyon - check
Mountain Vistas - check
Transylvania - check

Our route promises to take us through some beautiful country in four states. Daniel and I have chosen a route that will begin in Rodessa, Louisiana, pass through a bit of Texas, wander through eastern Oklahoma, then end at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge just outside of Mena, Arkansas.

As usual you can follow us on Spotwalla

The NIITWIt Rally was run last Saturday with great success! Only one rider did not make it back to the finish but he did make it safely back home.

Daniel and I had a GREAT time both Bonus Gathering and Sightseeing.

Until a Rally Report is written you can enjoy pictures of our route.
