Very nice! I think i can safely say that most of us on this forum feel that the 500 is a great bike. Definitely gets up and goes. I have a bad habit of leaving my husband on his 900 custom in the dust when I lead, consequently it's better if he rides in front. Welcome to the forum, Linda
I swear... I only ride to save gas. (If you believe that I have a deal on a bridge for you.)

Looks good. The 500 will take off, that's for sure. My wife rides a V-Star 650 and when I ride it I feel like I'm in slow motion.
DaisyField, I thought the 500 and 900 were similar in performance in the 1/4 mile. Maybe the 500 can take it in the 1/8 mile or 0-60 speed and then the 900 catches up. I like the 0-60 performance myself.

Re: Red 2006
I'd say the 900 would beat the 500 for two telephone poles and then get left in the dust from there out. The guys I've talked to on another Vulcan forum that own 900's don't seem to have anywhere near the top end the 500 does.

That's exactly what happens when I'm not paying attention. I really do try not to let him notice how much better my bike is at those highway speeds.
