Looks like it's in good shape. The 500 is a great machine for sure.

Enjoy it!

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking bike. You might be able to get that dent out without damaging the tank. somewhere I've seen an article where somebody basically super glued a bolt head into a dent like that and then used a device like a bridge that had a center hole and they just tightened a nut up on the bolt on the opposite side of the bridge and pulled the dent out. My son in law used that method on his 750 Shadow tank and was able to get about 98% of the dent out without damaging the tank. If I run across the article I'll post a link for you.

How do you "unsuperglue" the bolt when done?

I watched him do it, and basically, the bolt pops loose when the dent pops out. It took him about three successive attempts to get it all the way out, but it worked pretty well. I guess my use of the words "super glue" was a misnomer. He actually used some type of heavy bodied adhesive. Like an epoxy or JB weld stuff. I sketched a picture of the device, I'll try to attach it. Maybe it will make more sense with a picture.
