hello from UT. Recently back from Iraq/Afg, got my Vulc500 out of 5yrs3months storage, am in process of getting her going. Have been canvassing the internet for advice on many tech details. Seems like a good idea to sign up with this forum, to take advantage of everyone's knowledge. Thanx in advance. -WC

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your service! After that long of storage you will likely have a huge flat spot in the middle. If you're lucky a tank with some carb cleaner followed by a few more tanks of gas thru the bike will dissolve the gunk in the carb and you won't have to take them apart to clean them.

yes flat spot noted. Removed & cleaned out tank, changed plugs, oil, filter, new battery, topped off fluids, fresh gas w/techron -- she started on first try, & runs well save for the flat spot. Hopefully the techron & startron will do their job. :)
