New Rider in NC

Postby dc3carl » Thu Jun 28, 2012 7:45 pm

Greetings:

Am on the verge of buying an '06 Vulcan 500. Haven't ridden in several years. Looking forward to getting back in the wind. Will be looking on the boards for parts and information.

Have a great day!

Welcome to the forum. The 500 Vulcan is a good bike and this forum has a lot of good folks here. Glad to have you.

Here's another warm forum welcome! I've had a lot of bikes in the past 45 years but when I look at my 2004 Vulcan 500 FOR WHAT IT IS I've never had a bike that made me happier. For a 500cc machine I'm amazed at the performance it gives me. I've never been in a situation where I've needed more power. I'm 6'3" and 250+ pounds. This bike hauls my fat ass around without a whimper. I've been getting 60+ mpg lately as well.

I seriously doubt you'll find anyone that will tell you NOT to buy the bike so get out there and buy it before it disappears. Then come back here and let us help you with any questions you may have. Of course we're happy to help with any pre purchase questions too. ;)
