Re: Multi-purpose side brackets

KawboyCAFE, my poor old spine is deeply grateful for the driver's backrest. And I am sure my (equally poor and old) butt will be grateful for the Airhawk cushion. Handlebars are made by Fehling , mounted on a pair of straight and simple 4 inch risers (I think THESE risers from ruffy_ruffy ebay store...

Multi-purpose side brackets

Previously I had on Magnus a sissy bar made by Mutazu. This winter I decided to have a new pair of side brackets made, as shown below: http://s1.postimage.org/SaCyJ.jpg http://s2.postimage.org/NSVoi.jpg Made of 4mm stainless steel, longer and higher than the original ones and a piece of square pipe ...

Re: Aluminum wheel swap. EN500A to EN500C

Triangles, I cannot tell you much about polishing the rims. I took them to a professional who has some serious machinery and almost everybody who wants to have something polished properly, takes his junk to this man's shop. There are also some films regarding DIY rims polishing on youtube: CLICK and...

Re: list of previous bikes

Theoretically suzuki GSX 400 L has a top speed abt 140 km/h ( 78 mph )... Obviously, it is 87 mph and not 78. Burkbuilds, sharp looking chopper! 8-) Here's a pic of my bicycle. Belonged to one of my daughters until she grew too tall. Then daddy Jablonsky made some modifications and uses it since. G...

Re: Aluminum wheel swap. EN500A to EN500C

...did you end up putting any sort of coating on the wheels? No. I got really fed up with all kinds of problems the man was inventing. So I said: as long as I have some elbow grease left and as long as polishing relaxes me, I'll just leave the rims as they are. KawboyCAFE: black powder coat was als...

Re: Forward Controls

Almost forgot to post pics of the forward controls. Here they are: http://s1.postimage.org/9viw9.jpg http://s3.postimage.org/Jtq2J.jpg First impression: they mount, fit & work without problems. The pegs are forward by abt 6 inches from original position. Feels good.

Re: Aluminum wheel swap. EN500A to EN500C

Thanks Kawboy. Just have to tell I did not polish the wheels myself, sensei Fikret did it for me. He has the machinery and years of experience. Yes, I polished the rear brake drum cover and lever, but it would take me centuries to polish the wheels well with what I've got. I only wish I had all that...

Re: list of previous bikes

Theoretically suzuki GSX 400 L has a top speed abt 140 km/h (78 mph) and I think I've reached somewhere around 130 km/h (80 mph). Pretty decent for an oldtimer. Vulcan 500 should have a top speed abt 170 km/h (105 mph) and I really have no idea what was the max I've reached with Magnus. The other da...

Wow, the seat you ordered looks great! I also like "No Studs, No Conchos" part and agree that a well formed wife is the best driver's backrest money can buy. ;)

Dream Shop

 CLICK & SLOBBER  If I had a shop 1/5 that beautiful, you couldn't drag me out even with a bulldozer. Sincerely, I don't even know the names of all those machines or how to use them, but I'm willing to learn. I assume that during my apprenticeship I would make tons of chess pieces ...

Re: new used wheels

... He was thinking about having them clear powder coated but seems like he had some issues with the man who was supposed to do that and changed his mind or something. True. First the man told me that the clear coat might crack and later he kept inventing all kinds of possible problems. So at a cer...

Re: list of previous bikes

Thanks. All my bikes have names and ZVIZ is the name of this one. Rides like a dream. Found it in classifieds back in 2007 and kept drooling till my wife said: "Go and buy the bloody thing." If you served the Army you know that you should NEVER discuss direct orders. You just go and do it....

it would be cool if we could get together and go for a ride. but there is a little puddle called the atlantic in the way. and i smoke life man, breath in the good, and breath out the bad. :D I don't see a little water stopping Jablonsky. I'd wanna see what he'd come up with for an amphibious mod to...
