Happy to see you up, around and even back in the saddle again! Take it slow and heal up right. Is that junk yard in your leg permanent or will they be removing it later? You could probably use some of that stuff for your trike build.

Admittedly that tank is rough but it's dirt cheap. There are several repair options though. The local community college body shop. The local High School shop class. Here's another warm forum welcome! I've had a lot of bikes in the past 45 years but when I look at my 2004 Vulcan 500 FOR WHAT IT IS I've never had a bike that made me happier. For a 500cc machine I'm amazed at the performance it gives me. I've never been in a situation where I've needed more power....
