just so you guys know, it might not be the gas cap. the most probable cause of this is the vent lines under the seat. i had this happen to me, and i re-routed the vent lines under the seat because they were getting pinched between the seat and frame causing the tank to not vent. now that i have mov...

That's the same place I mounted mine, for the gps and/or cell phone. Picked up my socket from the local walmart. Did you have to do anything special to the wiring to allow charging the battery through it?
Did you also relocate your ignition switch? Mine is right below that location.

Please do, mine has gotten worse, and the HOT weather dosen't help either. I'm interested to know if any "special" tools are really required, or if there's work arounds.
