Re: New Rider on Cali Central Coast
Welcome to the forum Led Head. I love the Vulcan 500. Plenty of power stock in my opinion, but there are others here who can help.

Re: Convert From Tube-type to Tube-less Tires
Ray,
You'll have to replace the wheels if you want to switch to tubeless tires. That is one thing I don't like about this bike, but that's about it...
I've read some posts on this forum or maybe others about guys finding older EN-500 bikes and buying the wheels and converting them over.
Good luck.

Re: New tire love
I got 8K miles out of the original Bridgestones. Ran two sets of Dunlop 404 and got 10K out of the front (down to 1mm-2mm) and 8K out of the rear. I ran a set of Metzler ME-880s and got 15K out of the rear and 10K out of the front. I still had quite a bit of tread on the front, but it was showing si...

Re: Battery Options
Thanks for the info! My second battery was a maintenance free battery from Trinity Powersports/BikeBatts. AGM sealed maintenance-free. Bought it in August 2008 and still running strong. I use a battery tender on it once/week. Model number XB12AL-A2. Phone is 1-888-561-7100. Website is http://www.bik...

Interesting. Reminds me of something in between my Vulcan 500 and the wife's Honda CTX700N.
