Possible fuel line upgrade.

Today I pulled apart my petcock fuel tap clean it and the carbs really good. There was great deal of junk in the bowls including a massive paint flake and some small bits of grass or something plant like. Was surprised to see the odd screens on the straws when I removed the petcock. Also explains wh...

Re: Hopefully the photo shows up

I did something scary and dumb early. It's raining and wanted to test how slippery the thick painted line was on a turning lame, answer is very. Downshifting locked up the back for a split second with rear on the paint. Very scary, I asked for it but wasntt expecting it to be that much like ice. tha...

Re: Bike work start. Carb related I think.

I think if it was possible you'd need to measure the boots and find some stacks the same length, then slip them into the box from the filter side (they're bigger on air inlet side)... Then need something to seal the box/stacks off nice and tight. Possible cut the evil factory boots and squeeze those...

Also wow, I haven't even tried with the forward controls I'm impressed. I feel like I can corner pretty quick with her, but I haven't even tried to wheelie. Would be so damn cool though. Cruisers wheeling looks the coolest, no questions.

Re: Hopefully the photo shows up

The clutch was extremely weak, but to be honest I'm pretty sure it was mostly the cable now not the actual disc. (Because the the disc came in the mail a few days before the cable and I installed them right away) the new one seems really good though. https://i.postimg.cc/FYdrsJpb/IMG-20210726-204908...

Hopefully the photo shows up

https://i.postimg.cc/BjtNpz5t/IMG-20210715-193736.jpg Got her for just 700. Put a street racer EBC clutch, 15% stiffer springs, and new cable and she was ready to rock. Next time I'm in the mountains I'll bring my phone for a better picture. Really lovely bike! Oh I bought her in January or Decembe...

Re: Bike work start. Carb related I think.

I should of replayed sooner, forgot about it. Took the carbs off and cleaned them, didn't take any pictures I lined them up very wrong. After changing the oil(gas bumped into the engine) and re lined up everything properly this time, the bike has been running perfectly. One or two photos could of sa...

Bike work start. Carb related I think.

So I took off the carbs and sprayed them out. Still won't start. Putting that airbox back in is horrible, I've read the bike doesn't do as well pods.... But honestly I'd rather have velocity stacks visually. And now that I've took that box out cleaned and put back... It's honestly just horrible. Try...

Re: Flat tracker question (19" rear wheel)

Thinking the cheapest way might be to use a cast front wheel. Goin to look into this a little more. Apparently that's how they're doing it with the Sportsters. I think you have to take it to a machine shop for something related to the sprocket. I think that's these cheapest option, can get a front w...

Re: Flat tracker question (19" rear wheel)

Thanks for the engine information and the reply in general. Im not totally sure what wheels. Thinking a 130/80/19 tire(rear) would be really good looking. Sense there is litteally nothing online about the Vulcan 500 to tracker specifically Ive been reading about other bikes getting built into tracke...

Flat tracker question (19" rear wheel)

Was hoping someone would of already done this, it's some what popular with the Sportsters. Basically I'm wondering if anyone has lifted the rear, put a longer swingarm on to fit a 19" rear wheel. I seriously love my vulcan and want to make it a flat tracker. Already have some flat tracker handl...
